Location: Private Group Therapy Room - Heartafire Counseling
Group Size: Limited to 12 participants (closed group – commitment to all 6 sessions required)
This supportive, evidence-based group will help you:
Understand moral injury and how it differs from PTSD
Identify your personal triggers and emotional responses
Learn practical skills (mindfulness, cognitive reframing, self-compassion)
Reconnect with meaning, purpose, and spirituality (faith-neutral approach)
Build a personalized long-term healing plan
Find strength in peer support and brotherhood/sisterhood

Mending The Soul: Explore
Explore is a guided healing journey for women who have experienced pain, trauma,
neglect, or loss and want a safe, supportive place to process their stories.
Details: Explore begins Tuesday, February 3, and will meet weekly from 6-7:30 PM
Total cost = $135 +shipping --- group fee = $100 for all 8 sessions; participants will spend
an additional $35 (plus shipping) to purchase their Explore workbook
Scholarships & payment plans available for the group fee
Closed group for women, meeting in-person, limited to 8 participants
Commitment to all 8 sessions required
Created by Celestia Tracy, Explore weaves together reflective writing, emotional awareness,
gentle processing, faith, and creative expression at a pace that honors each person. Together,
the group explores themes such as personal worth, family dynamics, trauma, shame, resilience,
and hope — always with compassion and care.
Participants are invited to reconnect with their voice, identity, and sense of belonging in the
presence of God’s steady, healing love. Explore is designed to gently name experiences that
may have once felt overwhelming or caused harm, while also nurturing strength, grounding, and
self-compassion. It is built on the belief that while trauma often happens in relationships, healing
also happens in a safe, trusted community.
Led by Brandy Knutson --Brandy is a trauma-informed counseling intern who walks alongside others with warmth, empathy,
and a deeply relational approach to healing. Grounded in the belief that God meets us tenderly in
our stories, she creates safe spaces for clients to explore their emotions, rebuild trust with
themselves and God, and rediscover their sense of worth and hope.

A Trauma Stewardship Group for Helping Professionals
This is a confidential processing and psychoeducation group for individuals in the helping profession fields.
We recognize how your dedication to helping others can take a toll on your own well-being. This group
integrates principles from Laura Van Dernoot Lipsky’s Trauma Stewardship and Polyvagal Theory to help you:
Understand how your nervous system is responding to the trauma of others and the stress of your role
Develop self-care strategies and resilience
Strengthen your community of support
Learn and apply trauma stewardship principles to find balance and sustainability in your work
